Eligibility Criteria – Education, Physical Standards & Age Limits:
Different educational qualifications are required for various posts. To become a Naib Khatib, one should have an FA or F.Sc. degree, or an equivalent qualification, along with a certificate in Dars-e-Nizami from a recognized madrasa. For the positions of Soldier and Military Police, it is necessary to have a matriculation pass, but for the Military Police, the height requirements are stricter. In this, your height should be 05 feet 08 inches. For the clerk post, intermediate education and computer knowledge are necessary. In this, a typing speed test will also be taken from you. For the cook, middle pass, and the sweeper, primary education is sufficient.
Physical fitness is a major component of army selection. Height also plays an important role in the fitness requirement. The minimum height of a Naib Khatib should be 5 feet 3 inches, 5 feet 6 inches for a soldier, and 5 feet 8 inches for military police. 5 feet 3 inches is required for clerk and cook applicants. If we talk about the age limit, for a soldier it is from 17½ years to 23 years, but if you are a graduate, then relaxation can be given up to 24 years, and if you have a valid driving license, then relaxation can be given up to 25 years. The age limit for Naib Khatib is 20 to 28 years. Special quotas such as children of martyrs’ families, army personnel, minorities, and candidates from tribal areas can be given relaxation up to 35 years, but supporting documents will have to be attached.
Required Documents for Application & Registration Process:
Among the documents, the applicant will need to keep the CNIC, Form B, father’s CNIC, domicile, educational certificates, and 4 passport-sized photos ready. If he is a Hafiz of the Quran or has a certificate of Dars Nizami, then his certificate will also have to be submitted. All these documents are very important, so keep them ready in advance. Registration is being conducted from September 1 to November 23, 2025, on the official army website www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk. Those who prefer a physical visit can apply from September 25 to November 25 at the nearest army selection or recruitment center.
Selection Procedure:
In the recruitment process, the first step is a physical fitness test, in which a 2 to 2½ kilometer race is required and push-ups, chin-ups, etc., are performed. After passing the physical test, the written test comes, in which questions are asked about English, Math, and Pakistan Studies.
